About me & Motivation
Currently, I'm an English major junior graduate at Soochow University. I am also a nut in language learning. So I took AI in Language Learning in my third year of college. During my college life, ChatGPT has revolutionized the AI industry. After the emergence of ChatGPT, I found myself full of interest and curiosity to explore the AI industry, so I started to create things with different useful AI-powered tools. This webpage aims to showcase my significant works, that are integrated with AI-powered tools in language learning and share my experience of using them.
Hope you guys enjoy discovering new perspectives about AI from my webpage!!
Some of My Works
Cover Letter - ChatGPT
The first work is a cover letter. I believe that many graduates might find difficulties in writing an excellent cover letter to catch HR's attention. By learning how to give a specific and oriented prompt to ChatGPT, can help you write an outstanding cover letter.
Prompt I Gave:
Write a cover letter, including introduction-highlighting my expertise and briefly introducing my background (background information), my qualifications (your qualities) and experiences (your job experience), and a closing.
Kebbi Robot Storytelling Project - Kebbi, ChatGPT, ElevenLabs
Let me introduce Kebbi first. Kebbi is an adorable robot with multiple AI functions and sensors. It can provide students with interactive learning experiences, such as chatting with them in real-time. To complete this storytelling project has to combine more than one AI tool, so it is an interesting and unique project that I've never done!!
About this Project
I used ChatGPT to create the script that I came up with. Then, I used ElevenLabs to create different characters' audio sounds. Finally, I used the Kebbi editor to adjust the character's images and facial expressions and insert their audio files. Finally, send the finished version to the Kebbi robot.
Picture Storybook - ChatGPT, Playground AI, TTSMaker, Stable Audio, Capcut
A good picture book should contain beautiful images that are related to the story outline. My picture storybook is about a young mouse, Milo wants to be an artist. However, he has doubts about himself. Then he encounters Ms. Oakwood, who eventually enlightens Milo.
To create this picture storybook, I integrated the AI-generative images from Playground AI and ChatGPT's script. After the images and script were done, I used Capcut to auto-generate the subtitle and edit the video.
This song was inspired by a series that I watched. The protagonist, Fiona Gallagher, has a steep love life. So I'd like to create a song about love being trustworthy. The song is named Sunflower because sunflowers always face the sun, which symbolizes that people should be optimistic in love.
The song was generated by Suno, I chose to give the prompt instead of using custom mode. Then, I used another AI video generator, called Pika, to create some short videos. Later, I combine the song and video by Capcut.
Description
This webpage contains the work that I've done and created in AI in Language Learning course this semester (112-2). As the course name, this webpage presents how I integrated AI-power tools to create much stuff, such as a song. With the utilization of various AI tools, students can nurture their creativity and enhance the effectivity in language learning.
Implication
By taking this course and Prof. Chen's instruction, I have acquired a comprehensive understanding of AI generative tools how they work, what are they built for, and what can they generate. Especially to make our pieces of work into Cover letters, storytelling robots, storybooks, and songs. During the course, many AI-power tools are involved in our creation, and we have learned their functions and applications.
Innovation
While creating Kebbi Storytelling Projects, there was a thought came into my mind. Because the target audience of this story is teenagers, I recalled a story about aliens from my previous English textbook. However, if I didn't change the story, it would be too vague and plain for teenagers. So I added the current issue about Japan's released treated radioactive water into the story to make this story more interesting; meanwhile, it also related to SDG 6, whose aim is about clean water and sanitation.
Reflection
After finishing many works during this semester, I have a diverse perspective on AI. I used to think that AI was a tool for lazy people; in fact, lazy people will still be lazy to use it. (Just joking) In fact, AI is a tool that can increase people's productivity. With the integration of AI, people can simplify the repetitive process. Therefore, I think I found myself again falling in love with AI!! It really helps me a lot :)
