Our experience allows us to perform this interim job.
Key responsibilities of the Interim Procurement Manager include:
Developing the procurement strategy aligned with company strategy and operational planning, segmenting suppliers, and identifying make-or-buy opportunities
Selecting and managing suppliers, negotiating contracts, monitoring supplier performance, and reducing risks of over-dependence on a single supplier
Controlling costs by negotiating the best possible prices without compromising quality or performance
Ensuring quality assurance, verifying that raw materials comply with legislation and internal standards, and working with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve technical issues with suppliers
Coordinating delivery times and maintaining stock levels at the right balance to prevent both capital lock-up and supply risks
Logistics coordination and administrative management of air, sea and land freight, as well as Licences and Customs handling
Integrating ESG (environmental, sustainability, and governance) criteria into the procurement process while ensuring on-time delivery
In some sectors, the Procurement Manager is almost as vital as the Production Director: if the supply of a single €1 part fails, the entire factory can come to a halt.
This is one of PR Lean Consulting’s greatest strengths, given our extensive experience across multiple industries.
