An Occupational Health and Safety Management System (ISO 45001) has as its main objective the protection of workers physical and mental integrity, promoting a safe and healthy workplace through the identification, assessment, and control of risks associated with work activities.

Its aims are to:

• Identify hazards and assess risks that may compromise workers health and safety

• Establish preventive controls to eliminate or minimise such risks

• Ensure compliance with applicable legislation and standards

• Promote active participation and engagement of employees in the safety management process

• Foster continuous improvement
