The consumption of materials has a significant environmental impact, particularly in relation (but not limitted to) to:
Energy, water, fuel, heat, and similar resources consumed in their production, whether through:
natural growth (e.g. planting, growth, and extraction in the case of agricultural or forestry goods), or
extraction from nature and subsequent purification (e.g. minerals used in the production of metals and other synthetic products)
consumption of other essential products or services, such as chemicals, packaging, transport, etc.
A lot of Raw Materials used in our industry are already governed by management systems that promote best practices from their production through to their use in final products, enabling the assessment of environmental impacts while ensuring both sustainability and traceability throughout the entire value chain.
We work with management systems across various organisations, audited by certification bodies, which allows us to avoid errors in the interpretation and implementation of standards, ensure the PDCA cycle, and shorten the learning curve.
