The position of Secretary for 2026 is currently vacant.
If you would be interested in taking on this role or finding out more, please email our Coordinator Kylie at coordinator@pilbararegimentfamilygroup.onmicrosoft.com
Laura is based in Karratha with husband Aaron (Defence member) and two children, Darcey, 10, and Frankie, 13 years old. 2026 will be their second year in Karratha and they are thoroughly enjoying all the adventures living on the West coast brings. They were previously based in Brisbane.
Laura took on the role of Treasurer in early 2025, when the position had been left vacant. She stepped into the role with enthusiasm to learn and has done an excellent job of getting her head around the books. Her expertise and straight-forward thinking will be an absolute asset to PRFG heading into 2026.

My name is Richelle but everyone calls me Shelly.
My family and I are currently in our second year living in the Pilbara, and we have greatly enjoyed becoming part of the Port Hedland community. We are a family of six, with four children, two boys and two girls. I am employed FT within the APS for Canberra Army Headquarters, and I have recently completed my recruit course for the Reserves, which I am enthusiastic about as I look toward the coming years.
Prior to our posting here, we were based in Puckapunyal, where I was actively involved in organising ladies’ events and supporting various community initiatives. I look forward to contributing to the new projects currently being developed, particularly those focused on strengthening connections across our entire community. This includes families, single members, individuals without local support networks, and our wider local communities. I am committed to fostering engagement and helping create inclusive opportunities that encourage connection, support, and a strong sense of belonging.
