Doug joined us in Karratha at the start of 2024. He has two adult daughters who reside in Perth. He joined the ADF in 1984 and has also worked in the mining industry. He has been associated with the Pilbara since 2009 via multiple appointments.
Doug says, "I enjoy being involved with communities and clubs. I assist others where I can and can be called upon at any time. I thoroughly enjoy the Pilbara and look forward to showing others just how great a lifestyle it is here." We are very excited to have Doug join our executive team for 2025.
Me and my husband have two children, 5 and 7 years old. We have been in the Pilbara for 2 years now. I'm originally from Townsville in North Queensland. My family and I love camping and we have explored many of the fantastic campgrounds around the region.
Rae and her family love getting involved with all activities PRFG have to offer and she will be an awesome asset to our committee for 2025.
Our treasurer position is currently open.
If you would like to assist with the role of treasurer for 2025 (until ~Oct 2025), please email Kylie at coordinator@pilbararegimentfamilygroup.onmicrosoft.com
I arrived in Karratha in January 2024 with my husband Marshall and daughter Sam. Prior to Karratha, we have lived in Canberra, Townsville and Melbourne. I've been a defence spouse for 15 years and embrace the opportunities for living in different places and new friendships that defence life offers.
I'm a primary school teacher and I currently work as a relief teacher at a few of the local schools here in Karratha. I'm excited to be a part of the Pilbara Regiment Family Group as I love meeting new people and finding out how the family group can enrich your time in the Pilbara!
Moved to Karratha from Cairns in 2020, and re-enlisted with ADF in 2021 as a Patrolman. Currently a Patrol Signalman with C-Troop, and the 1SQN Rep for PRFG. First enlisted as a Rifleman in 1999-2003 (Melbourne). Married to Kylie (PRFG Coordinator) and we have 3 kids (Ben 12, Charlie 9 and Lucy 5). We know the East Coast of Australia very well; currently enjoying exploring the remote North-West.
Love going camping with family and friends and exploring new places. Still adjusting to the red dirt & rocks (quite different to the rainforests of FNQ!). We are heavily involved in sport (President of Karratha Soccer Assocation; kids also play Squash, Basketball, Futsal, Gymnastics, Dance, Tee ball...). Looking forward to doing Gibb River Road in the near future.
