A great place to take the little ones in Newman is The Beach Indoor Play Centre. A play space dedicated to 0-10 year olds, it is a great location to escape the heat or hold a birthday party.

For the older kids, the Newman Youth Centre offers a Drop-In service, activities and programs for 10-17 year olds. The hall can also be hired for conferences and events.

There are a number of sporting ovals and grounds around town that play home to many sports, including AFL, cricket, tee-ball, soccer, athletics and rugby.
