Pilbara kids LOVE to spend their time exploring the beautiful gorges, beaches and waterways in and around Karratha.
When you need to stay a little closer to home, we are spoilt for choice with several great playgrounds around town, including:
Mara Guthurra Adventure Playground (end of Euro Boulevard, Baynton West)
Balyarra Park & Pump Track (Balyarra Parkway, Baynton)
the newly-built Bulgarra Playground on the back road (Searipple Road, Bulgarra)
Dampier Foreshore Playground (The Esplanade, Dampier)
In summer, hit the playgrounds early in the morning or later in the afternoon, otherwise the equipment is too hot to touch.
The Indoor Play Centre, located in the Tambrey Village, offers a respite from the heat in the summer months and allows little ones to burn off some energy.

The Karratha Community Centre offers a range of programs for young children ranging from coffee and craft, music, Little Explorers and more.
The Karratha Family Centre runs a Toy Library, Playgroup and School Readiness programs.
