What a wonderful way to start the day off, with a Family Day at Dampier. Thanks to the Unit for bringing out the RPC and taking willing participants on a thrill ride! BBQ lunch was enjoyed by all, with a special thanks to WO2 Glenn Buckley for doing most of the cooking.
A fun morning was had by all at the Karratha Leisureplex. The kids had a blast on the mini aquarun and enjoyed an Easter Egg Hunt afterwards.
April school holidays were jam-packed with fun, with a craft morning and viewing of the solar eclipse.
A lovely picnic was enjoyed at Hearson's Cove in May to coincide with the full moon, which brings the phenomenon of the Stairway to the Moon. Unfortunately, the weather was quite cloudy, so we didn't have a marvellous viewing, but the moon did peak out from behind the clouds a couple of times to give us a bit of a show.
The guys headed out on the golf course in June and had a fantastic time. The day was finished with beers and pizzas at the NorthWest Brewing Co.
In preparation for the Regimental Dinner, a group of ladies attended a makeup workshop with local makeup artist, Elizabeth Rose. We all learnt a few tips and tricks to take our makeup to the next level for all future events!
This tag-along tour with Ngurrangga Tours took us on-country for a day of exploring the local sacred and bush tucker sites. We learnt how to find water, tried some berries and found the best swimming spots.
A keen group of budding artists attended a Paint n Sip at Three Birds Creative in September. We dabbled in watercolour to create pieces with a Pilbara theme.
