Chapter 6
BENEFITS, COMPENSATION AND PRIVILEGES
This chapter will talk about the benefits of the Bible Worker/Ministers which will be provided by the National Office, with compensation and privileges that he can avail while working as a full-time worker in the field. They are given an opportunity to avail themselves of allowances, continuing education programs, and salary adjustments depending on the fruit of their labor.
A. ALLOWANCES:
As a Bible Worker/Minister they can avail the following:
1. Food Supplements – will be provided for the Bible Worker/Minister as to sustain and maintain their well-being physically in the field.
2. Load Allowance – will be used for communicating their concerns in the field such as, updates of missionary oral reports, communication with the contacts in the field and other official matters.
3. House Rental – is necessary only when they will be assigned far from their own home and no place for a lodging house provided by the local branch.
4. Traveling Allowance – will receive an amount of 6,000 pesos for their monthly allowances for any necessary expenditures such as: a. local transportation, gas, car, bus fare, etc.
5. Official Travel (National Assembly) – will be provided with fare budget in attending the National Assembly as an official travel allowance.
6. Missionary Travel Allowance – will also be provided with tickets of ship or airplane fare with the approval of the BOT - National Office.
7. Eyeglasses allowance – one of the privileges that a Bible Worker/Minister can have is an eyeglasses provision from the National Office.
Guidelines to Avail of this privilege
a. Every 2 years
b. At least 2.000
c. On the month of June
d. Voucher for allowance to be received by the recipient
e. Include in a report
f. Fill up a requisition form to avail this benefit. (inform the BOT of the need)
(Note: For administration department it would be later updated with an appropriate guidelines as well).
8. Yearly Clothing and shoes allowances – Bible Worker/Minister can also avail with the yearly clothing and shoes allowances in order to lighten their burden financially in buying new clothes and shoes depending on the need.
9. Tools (laptop, projector, charts, etc) –as God’s servant in the field, they also need tools where they can utilize while serving in their local field. These tools are laptop, projector, charts, etc.
10. Annual Physical Examination – to ensure that the Bible Worker/Minister are in good physical condition, the association provides once a physical examination.
11. Dental Benefit – if necessary, the association also provides an aid for the dental benefit of the Bible Worker/Minister.
12. Annual Leave – the Bible Worker/Minister can also avail their annual leave provided that it was approved by the BOT upon their request.
13. Funding for Health Care Assistance - the Bible Worker/Minister can avail on a case-to-case basis depending on the circumstances of the patience.
B. CONTINUING EDUCATION PROGRAM (CEP)
Due to the demand of time and intellectual advancement, the Bible Worker/Minister must also be updated or upgraded from what is traditional to the newest challenge of the time. Their knowledge must also be improved and developed as they proceed through life’s demands and challenges. As we go forward in the information age, God’s servants must utilize whatever technologies adapted to be knowledgeable on their uses and application in our time.
C. ANNUAL SALARY ADJUSTMENT
1. New Full-Time Bible Worker: Initial Salary
This chapter deals with the salary adjustment
Formula:
1. The entry is 13,000 of fruitage
2. 12 months of fruitage
Note: Please just draft the necessary procedure on this part because I cannot really get the intended formula of getting the salary adjustment of the Bible Worker/Minister.
Existing Full Time Worker: Salary adjustment
a. Total expenses including the salary get the average for 12 months
b. Get the total remittance, 12 months
c. If these data is congruent to the expenses.
Negative or positive
Increase then it is favorable for the BW and entitled to 25 % increase for his salary adjust… positive difference. Why 25% because others 75% positive difference will be allocated to the allowance mentioned above (salary for the employee in the office). Allocate the extra positive difference.
