This chapter will deal with the description, function, duties, and responsibilities of the Bible Workers and Minister of the Philippine Union of General Association of Davidian Seventh-day Adventists. PU-GADSDA.
The Bible Worker/Minister is responsible for the field planning and execution throughout the period where he was assigned to work, including nurturing, teaching, and prioritizing interested persons for Bible studies, advanced prophetic studies encouraging old members to cooperate and participate in the hunting campaign and support to ensure member’s satisfaction in intrapersonal and interpersonal relationship goals are met. The Bible Worker’s and Minister’s job also includes ensuring that the new and old members are served which in turn maintains the supports the overall mission of the Association.

3. Administer and execute the missionary plan/Strategic Plan.
What do the Bible Workers or Ministers do for the DSDA/Rod believers in their territorial assignment?
1. Must take the members’ profile (Form provided by the National Office) and compile them ACCORDINGLY.
a. New studying members
b. Tithe payer members
c. Card Holder members
2. Must facilitate the Personality/Spiritual Inventory (Form) of the members.
a. Personality Development (Temperaments)
b. Spiritual Gift Inventory
3. Must organize the area with a set of officers based on the Inventory done for the specific ability of the members to perform assigned task.

c. Treasurer
4. Must have a scheduled monthly fellowship
5. Must organize the youth in the area

6. Teach and train members how to do the lay siege using the Hunter’s Manual.
a. The ministerial department (Bible Worker and Minister) will invite collaboration with the members to participate voluntarily in the siege program.
b. Things that need to be done during the siege are to collect the address and telephone numbers, and also distribute the literatures.
c. If there is a large Revival, kinds of literature distribution is a priority.
d. Look for information in the local church about the Revival to be held or activities that can be attended to find a new contact.
e. Addresses obtained from the siege will be submitted to the ministerial department or circulation department as soon as the siege is complete, or by putting it in the box provided.
f. Volunteers are advised to report souls who want to learn so that they can work together with the ministerial department to serve these souls. So, that the ministerial department can provide a schedule of services with the worker.
7. Visiting the Old members.
a. Give doctrine lessons to members according to their needs.
b. Enquire the members about their needs such as family problems, children's education problems, health problems, ect.
c. Provide information on natural herbal recipes that are simple and nutritious for members who need traditional medicine.
d. Provide recipes for healthy cooking if needed.
8. Facilitate a Livelihood program or teach the members how to earn a living.
9. Faithful Tithes payer and able to teach and remind the members to be faithful.
What does the Bible Worker or Minister do for the SDA/non-believers in his territorial assignment?
1. Know and understand the SDA field area of responsibilities.
a. Know how many churches are there in his territory or assigned area.
b. Know the location of the churches (mapping out the places of the field)
c. Identify the pastor/district leader of the area, elders in the churches.
d. Collect information about the key persons (influential people, rich people, prominent official in the local SDA churches, etc.) in the field.
e. Must know the major and minor meetings (Congress, ASI meeting, Bi-annual, Sabbath School Congress, District Meetings, Fellowship Meetings, Federation Meetings, 1000 Missionary meeting, Elder’s Council meeting, Women’s Ministry Meetings, Care Group meetings, etc.).
f. Know the approximate number of SDA membership in your area.
2. Visit the churches and Adventist institutions (Schools, Colleges, University and Hospital) in your territory.
3. Establish and maintain a good relationship with the SDA brethren.
4. Share the message and conduct the seminar, lectures, and Bible studies.
5. Engage in a missionary endeavor (funeral, counseling, and others.
What does the Bible Worker or Minister do when there is/are project/s or event/s that needed to be considered?
What to do According to the following:
This plan or program will be personally made and/or created by the Bible Worker or Minister in his area/field as a guide on how to do and what to do his duties and responsibilities in his territorial assignment.
a. Prepare a strategic plan for a year.
i. Monthly activities
ii. Weekly activities
iii. Every day routine
b. Determine the approximate expenses for the project or event to be made.
i. Travel expenses (appropriate and approximate expenditure)
ii. Material expenses (program invitation, Xerox copies, etc)
iii. Personal necessities (food, housing, load etc.)
c. Proposal of the Year plan to be submitted to Ministerial Department and BOT. This will be presented to the Annual Session for approval and recommendations.
This plan or program will be initiated by the local area or field where the Bible Worker or Minister is assigned.
As his duty and responsibility demand, he must act:
a. To collaborate with the chairman of the area where he was assigned.
b. To remind the members of the plan or program of the area or field.
c. To assign the particular areas in the plan or program to be filled up.
d. To coordinate with the participants of the plan or program.
e. To supervise and facilitate the plan or program for its proper implementation.
This plan or program will be initiated by the national delegation or scheduled by he Board of Trustees (BOT) to be participated by every member in the Association (delegation, corporate or individual)
As a Bible Worker or Minister, he should:
1. Coordinate with the BOT with regards to the following:
a. Schedule of the program.
b. Time of the program.
c. Participants of the program.
2. Assist in the formation of the plan or program.
a. Inform or remind the local members of the scheduled program.
b. Announce the schedule and time of the program to the field.
c. Assign participants for the national program.
3. Facilitate in the foregoing program to ensure proper order.
4. Propose any particular solution to the unexpected delay, failure, or mistakes during the event.
5. Disseminate any information that is beneficial for the success of the national program.
6. Encourage everyone in your area to participate and cooperate with the program.
7. Study together the By-Laws for the furtherance of the work.
What the Bible Worker or Minister do in his office as assigned to his post of duty?
General Guidelines for an Organized Bible Worker or Minister
1. Scheduling his activities.
a. Make a calendar of events, activities, and programs.
b. Draft a daily report, weekly report, and monthly reports.
c. Setting the dates and times for the events, activities, and program.
2. Compilation of Teaching Tools, Materials, and Instruments for the Lectures or Seminars.
a. Create a Portfolio where he can put his personal information.
b. Segregate the Teaching Tools. (Bible, Outlines, and Charts)
c. Prepare the materials for the seminar, lecture, or Bible Studies.
d. Gather all related files for further reference for documentation.
3. Collection of all the reports for further documentation and references.
a. Write the everyday routine (personal study, worship, and missionary activities )
b. Put all your reports in one place so it will be easy for you to see and review.
c. Classify the reports according to daily, monthly (accomplishment), annual and financial reports.
1. Prepare and submit the following plan/reports to the Ministerial Department.
a. The Annual Missionary Plan for one year must be submitted to the Ministerial Department before the Annual Session - Meeting for input, approval, and recommendation.
b. The Monthly Comprehensive Plan must be submitted to the Ministerial Department to assist them in executing the activities in the field.
c. The Weekly Missionary Report will be submitted to the Ministerial Department every Sunday. (Form will be provided by the National Office).
d. The Accomplishment Report (A narrative of Testimony) must be submitted to the Ministerial Department on the first week of the month.
e. The Financial Report (form provided by the National Office) is to be submitted to the Ministerial Department on the last week of the Month.
2. Monitor the monthly tithes of the area.
3. Send the information to the office as to the reason of the increase and decrease of the tithes collection of the field.
4. Submit pertinent reports to the National office when it is requested.
a. Profile report.
b. Expenses (Travel, charitable, benevolence expenses)
c. Monitoring reports.
d. Liquidation report
5. Call a meeting - inform the local areas
a. Regular meetings
