Primary 3 have been learning lots about Robert Burns. They completed a lot of different activities that span the curriculum for their IDL mini topic. 

P3 learned what Tartan is and that different Scottish last names have their own Tartan. They even made some of their own by weaving bits of coloured paper. 

P3 listened to Scottish poems and songs, and discussed why they did or did not like what they were listening to. They even recited some poems and songs at their assembly. P3 learned some Scottish words including 'bonnie' and 'lugs'.

They used their previously learned maths skills in measuring to make some traditional Scottish food - Shortbread!

They also used different elements of art to create portraits of Robert Burns.
