Assemblies
At Central we have a weekly assembly in our Hall, on Fridays at 1:30pm. We have a variety of guest speakers in to share their knowledge and lessons with us. As well as this each individual class hosts 1 assembly each year. The class assemblies are new to our school, but we are looking forward to inviting the local community in to share these with us.
All of our assembles follow the same structure. This is to allow nuerodivergent people to know what is coming next and reduce the anxiety for all.
We have a few standing items, to help support our nurturing ethos across the school. We like to revisit our vision, Values and Aims and introduce the character we will focus on for the following week.
We also share what the pupil council has been working on throughout this time.
Each adult will award one pupil "Essence of Central". These pupils will have held up the characteristic mentioned in assembly for the entire week. They will be awarded a golden award, house tokens and it will be recorded as an achievement.
We are well under way in our assembly calendar. We have had the pleasure of welcome Matthew and Jamies so far to share their stories with us and we look foward to Andrew in the coming weeks.
The children have been excited to create their characters as we continue on our Vision, Values and Aims Journey. We will be sharing these with you all soon.
We have been revisiting our schools 3 Central Laws: to be Kind, Respectful and Responsible and celebrating all the wonderful things we have seen so far this term.
