Hello, I am Mrs Smith and I am the
Primary 1/2 teacher at
Peterhead Central School.
Our main aim is for the children to feel safe, happy and confident. The children are encouraged and supported to learn through a variety of fun, practical activities while developing all the skills needed to help them become successful, confident, independent learners.
I am happy to chat at the end of the day, once I have dismissed all the children if you have any questions.

We have been learning to recognise lines of symmetry in pictures on the Smartboard

We have can say which pictures are "symmetrical" and which are not.
We cut these mirror frames and decorated them with jewels - making sure they were 'symmetrical'.

Winners of the League Cup - 2024/25
Danny came to let us see the cup and answer our questions
Maths done differently
One of our class members said "I know another way of making 10"
He had spotted the pairs of screws on the book shelf.
This led us to learning about the 2 times table and about counting in 2's.
It also led to us learning about odd and even numbers.
Primary 1/2 members of "Slains" house before their water fight reward.......sorry no after photos......too cold and wet! But it was fun!
AFC Promise Group
invited us to try out the assault course they had created.
It was so much fun.
Thank you.
More photos will be added here soon and also to your child's Learning Journal page.

A 'Friendly Dragon' has been visiting our classroom leaving us fairytales to read and often challenges to help his fairytale friends.

Mrs Smith brought some of her toys when she was little and also some toys her boys had as children.
