BYU PATHWAY WORLDWIDE
BASIC INFORMATION
A bachelor’s degree is an undergraduate academic degree offered by BYU-Idaho typically designed to be completed in 7 years.
If a student needed to extend beyond 7 years to complete a degree, they would be allowed to declare a more current catalog year and would be subject to the updated requirements but could continue with their program beyond the 7-year mark if necessary.
Students who began PathwayConnect prior to Fall 2018 will still be able to declare and complete these degrees. PathwayConnect students who join PathwayConnect Fall 2018 and after will not have the option to declare these degrees.
Students are required to complete their first certificate prior to working on and completing their General Education, Religion, and elective courses.
BACHELOR REQUIREMENTS FOR BYU-I
For students pursuing a bachelor's degree, the following requirements musts be completed:

Online students will typically complete a bachelor’s degree in 4-12 years, based on incoming transfer credit and the number of courses completed each term. All bachelor’s degrees require 120 credits; therefore, an online student with no transfer credit who completes six credits per term will complete a degree in approximately 20 semesters or 6-7 years.

There may be financial aid implications for students seeking more than one Associate's or Bachelor’s degree. If a student is receiving federal financial aid, then a second bachelor’s degree is not covered. The process they should follow is as follows:
Apply for their bachelor’s degree
Submit a ticket to ES - Online Degrees stating that the student would like to be readmitted to work on a second bachelor's degree.
Contact Pathway and Online Support to have their case sent to ES - Online Degrees to let them know the student needs to be readmitted to work on their Second bachelor’s degree.
General Education Requirements: If a student has completed a bachelor's degree from BYU-Idaho or another accredited institution their general education requirements will be waived, and the student would only then need to focus on the major-specific courses that are required for the new major.
Religion Requirements: If a student has completed a bachelor's degree from a CES-accredited institution, their religion requirements will be waived, and the student would only then need to focus on the major-specific courses that are required for the new major.
Students who completed the PathwayConnect program and have matriculated to the online program will still be eligible for the PathwayConnect tuition for as many degrees as they would like to pursue.
INTERNATIONAL ACCREDITATION
Degrees are not accredited in any other country, and accreditation is not sought outside the U.S. International online students are responsible for exploring the degree validation process required by their countries before getting a degree from BYU-Idaho.
