Self-care Video
Wait... What is self-care and why is it important?
Self-care can be anything we do, to intentionally take care of our overall wellbeing
It's really important to engage in self-care activities, as this can increase our ability to cope in tough situations
Self-care can be different for different people; it may be; watching a movie, maintaining a routine, connecting with a loved one
In our busy lives, we can often forget to take care of ourselves; perhaps focusing on helping others or just not having the time
Self-care should be included in our daily routines; it's not a once-off event
In the video, Karima shares some simple ways she engages in self-care
There are many ways to engage in self-care;
Art/Journalling/Reading
Setting boundaries; saying no when things get too much
Exercising, eating and sleeping well
Talking about how you feel - to someone you trust
Accepting your emotions as they come;
