Steps:
Position Your Equipment:
Place your monitor and docking station where you plan to work.
Ensure the dock is near a power outlet and has adequate ventilation.
Connect the Docking Station to Power:
Plug the dock’s power adapter into a wall outlet.
Connect the other end to the dock’s power input.
Connect Peripherals to the Dock:
Plug in keyboard, mouse, Ethernet cable, and any USB devices into the appropriate ports on the dock.
Connect the Monitor to the Dock:
Use HDMI, DisplayPort, or USB-C—depending on your dock and monitor compatibility.
Make sure the monitor is powered on and set to the correct input (HDMI, DP, etc.).
Connect the Dock to Your Laptop:
Use the provided USB-C or Thunderbolt cable to connect your laptop to the dock.
Your laptop should begin charging, and peripherals should become active.
Configure Display Settings (Optional):
On Windows, right-click the desktop and choose Display settings.
Select Extend, Duplicate, or use Second screen only, depending on your preference.
Drag screens to match physical layout.
Troubleshooting Tips:
If the monitor isn’t detected, try unplugging and replugging the dock cable.
Make sure the monitor is powered on and input is correctly set.
Update graphics and dock drivers via the manufacturer’s support page.
Restart the laptop while connected to the dock if peripherals aren’t recognized.
