Set the Headset as Default Device (Windows):
Right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select Sounds or Open Sound Settings.
Under Output, select your headset.
Under Input, select the headset microphone if available.
Set the Headset as Default Device (macOS):
Go to System Settings > Sound.
Under Output and Input, select your headset.
For Bluetooth Headsets:
Turn on Bluetooth on Your Laptop:
On Windows: Settings > Bluetooth & devices → toggle Bluetooth on.
On macOS: System Settings > Bluetooth → toggle Bluetooth on.
Put the Headset in Pairing Mode:
Follow the manufacturer’s instructions (usually holding down the power button until an LED blinks).
Pair the Headset:
In Bluetooth settings, select your headset from the list and click Connect.
Once paired, go to sound settings to set it as the default input and output device.
Troubleshooting Tips:
If audio is distorted or not working, unplug and replug the headset or restart the device.
Update sound and Bluetooth drivers.
On Windows, run Troubleshoot sound problems from the sound settings menu.
