As the plan stands, the bus will depart @ 7:30 AM from the school, which means you need to be there before then! Pack food & drink and appropriate layers and changes of clothes for varying weather. We will be gone from early morning until well after lunch. There is no eating on the bus, though there should be time @ Mt Tom. The long ride may also be a good chance for rest, studying the map and or homework as well as socializing.

Training this week:

Highly recommended you familiarize yourself with the terrain of Mt Tom as we did with Nobscot over the last week. You can use the resources below to do so. Mt Tom is a challenging area with 5m contours. Those of you who invest even a few minutes repeatedly throughout the day, each day, will notice the difference when you are there on course.

While breaks from screen time are strongly recommended as well, taking the maprunner quizlets while getting up and moving around from time to time are also a great way to take a moving break and increase your familiarity with map and control description symbols in a fun way.

The process of comparing and correlating is a good way to focus the mind and familiarize yourself with the map and terrain.
