Beyoncé is the face of the 65th annual Grammy Awards, leading the race with nine nominations.
Having received eighty-eight in her career, she is the most Grammy nominated artist in history, tied with husband Jay Z. Her album “Renaissance” is up for album of the year along with her hit song, “Break My Soul,” put forth for both song and record of the year.
However, numerous popular artists including Abba, Brandi Carlile, Harry Styles, Lizzo, and Adele have record of the year nominations and will surely provide competition for this year’s top nominee.
Viola Davis, nominated for the audiobook version of her memoir, is in the running for an EGOT if she wins in the upcoming race, already having won an Emmy, Oscar, and Tony.
2023’s Grammy Awards, set to premiere February 5, will feature returning host Trevor Noah. Here are the major categories to look out for:
