Marichi laddu
Ingredients list:
Atta (wheat flour)- 1 cup
Clarified butter or Ghee- 1/3 cup
Black pepper 1 Tsp
Cumin seeds 1 Tsp
Carrom seeds(Ajwain) 1 Tsp
Hing - 1/4 tsp
Fennel Seeds - 1 Tsp
Salt 1/4 Tsp
Recipe Steps:
Coarsely grind black pepper and cumin seeds using a mortar and pestle.
In a pan, add 1/3 cup of ghee and warm it over medium heat.
Once the ghee melts, lower the flame and add 1 cup of wheat flour.
Stir in fennel seeds, carom seeds, a pinch of hing, salt, and the crushed black pepper and cumin seeds. Roast the mixture over medium heat until the wheat flour turns light golden in color, which should take about 8 to 10 minutes. Be careful not to overcook it, as that can cause bitterness.
Turn off the heat and transfer the mixture to a bowl. Mix everything thoroughly while it’s still warm.
While the mixture is warm, take small portions and shape them into laddus using your hands.
