Starting from the Wilverley Car Park, this 5,6km (3.5mile) walk takes you through the mixed Wilverley Inclosure with mature beach and oak as well as pine trees.
A gate out of the wood in the far corner leads down the slope and under the A35. Then turn left and over a style where you meet the road. Care is needed to cross here as it is a blind bend. Alternatively you can continue a little further to join the old railway line the turn sharp left to return to the tea room.
The Holmsley Station Tearoom is a popular spot for coffee, tea or lunch.
To return, either retrace your steps or take the southern route, using the underpass to cross the road. This was probably an old route under the railway as this stretch of road was build on the route of the disused line. This return loop includes a shallow ford.
