The Park Visitor Centre is situated in The Grove.  This is a building which is opened by Friends of the Park volunteers at weekends.

It contains various free leaflets and maps as well as posters about the park.

Park Visitor Centre Opening times

We are on winter opening hours at present. Every Sunday and the 1st Saturday of the month from 11am to 1pm.

Please note due to the Fireworks event the centre will not open on 6th and 7th of November.

Visitors are welcome to drop in to the Park Visitor Centre to ask for directions (within the park), find out what's on, learn some of the Park's history and discuss what they have seen and enjoy about the park.

We have a limited number of distractions for small children, including an everlasting supply of paper and crayons.  A sample of their output can be seen here.

We are always looking for new volunteers to help open the Park Visitor Centre, give out leaflets and take note of any concerns that visitors may want to discuss.

There is a minimum of two people running the Park Visitor Centre and we usually open for just two hours.  New volunteers are paired-up with a more experienced person.

If you have good knowledge or a keen interest in the Park and would like to volunteer to help in the Park Visitor Centre, please come in and chat to us, or Email us.
