The Bolshevik Revolution

On the 2nd of March 1917, after continuous pressures from the Russian population and the mutiny of many soldiers ordered to use violence to quell civil unrest, Tsar Nicholas II abdicates the throne, and a Provisional Government takes his place. Not long after, a reforming Russia fights to leave The Great War and further rages into Civil War.

The Bolsheviks fight to consolidate their power, with Vladimir Lenin as their leader. Revolutionary groups scramble to gain political supremacy, while the effects of the War continue to affect the Russian population as a whole.

Join the Crisis Committee and have a say in changing the course of the Bolshevik Revolution, as well as shaping the future of the Russian nation and Europe as a whole!

Călin Mateiță

Hello, hello! I’m Călin, a junior at “Tudor Vianu” National College. Even though I may be passionate about maths and physics, reading and poetry, and even law, my strongest passion is debating, and sprinkled with some interest in international affairs and politics, the result is my love for MUNs. I will be chairing the Crisis Committee, which I have loved since the first committee session due to its spontaneity and the challenges that come along with it.

I can’t wait to see you all at the conference!

Ecaterina Olariu

Hii everyone, I’m Cati! I’m a junior at Scoala Centrala of Bucharest and I’m extremely excited to partake in the second edition of MUNtenia as a chair of the Crisis Committee, alongside Cris and Calin. In my free time, I will be making Spotify playlists for fun and listening to them like it’s an Olympic sport. Besides music, one of my main passions is activism, as I am also on the board of Girl Up Romania. Politics is something I plan to do in the future and MUN’s are a big part in forming my experience in this domain.

Hello!! My name is Cris, I'm a huge crisis enthusiast and I am really exicited to be able to chair alongside my dear friends Cati and Calin! My personality type is ENTP and I love to fight and argue with people. I will make sure the committee is gonna be "blana" with fun punishments (I actually like them), DnD, internal and external crises but most importantly a shared brain cell loss. It will be a committee you can NOT miss, so join me, Cati, and Calin in this chaos we call the Crisis Committee!
