Digital activism is a relatively new term, and people use it in different ways. The most inclusive definition would be: activism that uses, among other things, the digital technology (devices, software, and the Internet). We propose to use the term more restrictively, meaning activist actions that rely solely on the use digital tools.
In our opinion, everything digital must be viewed as a toll. Activism takes place in the real society, it is about making real changing, changes that affect lives of people. Digital technology can help to create content, to disseminate information, to collaborate, to coordinate actions, etc. All these things are part of the general logistics for producing an act of activism.
