Ms. Afrika Abney first became a consultant in 1992 when she was invited to participate in the Congresswoman's Art Competition.
Ms. Abney is a consultant with over 17 years of professional experience in designing and implementing media campaigns for individuals, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations. She has worked with a variety of clients in the arts and entertainment, media, and non-profit industries.
Ms. Abney has a background in photography, event promotion, and social media management. She is also skilled in problem-solving, critical thinking, research, data collection, communication, and collaboration. With a strong dedication to continuous learning, she has provided consulting services for a wide range of projects and organizations, including the African American Women's Resource Center, Malcolm X Drummers and Dancers, Esther Productions, Inc, and more. Ms. Abney is known for her exceptional communication skills, self-motivation, and teamwork abilities. She holds a high school diploma from Bell Multicultural High School and completed her education at the Corcoran School of the Arts in 1997.
Ms. Abney had the opportunity to provide numerous services for Esther Productions, Inc, Day Eight's Summer Writing Camp, Doc Powell, Founder of the Malcolm X Drummers and Dancers, African American Women's Resource Center, Mr. Ralph Nader, Mr. Kerry Pearson, Mr. Lester Cuffie, Anacostia Art Gallery and Boutique, and BZB International.
