Unraveling the Mystery; Healing the Pain; Creating the Resilience; Growing the Personal Power is a series of informative, interactive and fun workshops, coaching sessions and conversations for girls ages 14 through 17 who are growing up without the presence and active involvement of their fathers in their lives.

Are you or someone you know struggling with father is absence; or exhibiting low self-esteem; or not performing at the optimum academic level; or having a difficult time forming relationships?

The sessions will be led by: 

Ms. Jonetta Barras is a national leader in the women’s fatherhood movement who has been a keynote speaker or workshop presenter at dozens of national and international conferences. She is also the founder of Esther Productions Inc and chief visionary of The National Reconciliation Week. Barras is the author of the groundbreaking book” Whatever Happened to Daddy’s Little Girl? The Impact of Fatherlessness on Black Women,” a Blackboard bestseller. She is also the author of “Bridges: reuniting Daughters and Daddies.” Barras is an award-winning journalist whose writings have appeared in the Washington Post,  The Washington Times, the Washington Examiner, USA Today, the New Orleans Times-Picayune, Essence magazine, the New Republic, the Washingtonian, and Crisis magazine. Tracie Robinson, Ph.D, BC-DMT, RP, CHT holds a doctorate in intrapersonal psychology and a master’s in dance/movement therapy. She has been a business owner since 1997 and in private practice since 2000. She is the founder and director of Emotions N Motion Healing Practices and president of  Essences of Wellness Authentic Transformations, LLC.  Dr. Tracie uses structure and/or authentic dance and movement to facilitate synergistic change. With the goal of exposing people to their predispositions by integrating movement, gestures, rhythms, breaths, verbal and non-verbal communication with a less defended expression of the body.  The art of dance is used as a therapeutic tool to bring about holistic healing. https://www.essencesofwellness.com/
