Ms. Afrika Abney attended Bell from 1991-1993. She graduated in 1993 and was 16 at that time. Years later, Ms. Abney donated the painting shown in the above photo. Additionally, she gave away the clothing articles and jewelry shown in the photo above.
Ms. Abney's art teacher when she was a student was Mr. Jorge Somarriba.
While, Ms. Abney was a high school student, she was invited to participate in the Congresswoman's Art Competition which took place in 1992 and 1993. During that time, she became a consultant.

Ms. Afrika Abney has provided photography services for numerous events that took place in the past hosted by Esther Productions, Inc, BZB International and the Malcolm X Drummers and Dancers.

Post Card Dissemination
Ms. Afrika Abney has over 20 years of experiences in postcard dissemination. She recently disseminated several post cards that announced the recent release of Discover Me.. Without You, a book published by Jonetta Rose Barras and Esther Productions, Inc. Edited by Jonetta Rose Barras at the New York Avenue Presbyterian Church on March 5, 2020. Ms. Abney has not disseminated any postcards in person since March 5, 2020
