About The Program

As the Navy's first family medicine residency, Jacksonville boasts an unopposed program with a consistent 100% Board Pass Rate, active scholarship and research programs, and a unique POCUS (point of care ultrasound) training program. Naval Air Station Jackonsville is the third largest naval base in the country, home to 16 aviation units and 17 shore commands, and specializes in anti-submarine warfare and aviation training. The base is just south of the city of Jacksonville and a few miles inland from the Atlantic beaches of northern FL.

As a medical student, you will spend a few weeks in clinic and some time on inpatient services. You will see a variety of patients and likely get hands on experience with POCUS and bedside procedures.
