HMB-10

Type:  Helicopter Agility Course

Location:  Manhattan Island, NY

Gates:  69

Elevation Change:  Approx 20 stories

Difficulty:  Are you out of your mind?

In a follow-up to the popular HMB-14, this one makes good use of another Manhattan neighborhood.   By the time you get a handle on this one, your helicopter skills should be noticeable by friends and enemies alike.

Created specifically for the Cabri G2(Asobo) and the Mini500 (Got Friends), you'll find that these small helicopters are best suited for this type of racing.   Larger helicopters can be used, but due to their sheer size, they are going to be quite a bit slower in comparison.   Still, I found great satisfaction in completing this course using the Robinson R-44.    Not being fast, but just making it through the course.... trying to keep that huge tail boom from hitting a taxi or wiping out an innocent hot-dog stand.

If you find this too tough, and would like to try something a bit more achievable,  I would suggest trying HMB-16 first.    It helps by letting you apply some basic heli control to muscle memory before you move on to more complex moves.   Follow it up with HMB-15 next, as this one adds more "vertical movement" while keeping the truly stunt-worthy moves out.  Think of these 2 as gateway drugs to HMB-14, and this one...  and future helicopter-specific tracks to follow.

As the beta test group reported:   "I thought I was going to wear out the start button, I hit it so many times".
