MCU upholds the importance of good health by promoting physical, mental, and social well-being among its students, faculty, and partner communities. Through health education, medical and dental missions, and mental health support programs, strengthening its advocacy for accessible health services for all.
MCU on Good Health and Well-Being
I. Collaboration with Health Institutions
To enhance quality in education and to provide industry-based experience, MCU actively collaborates with different organizations locally, nationally, and globally.
As part of social responsibility, MCU has 2 adopted communities in Caloocan and Malabon, which we serve regularly and conduct different community outreaches through inter-professional services and activities. Also, through the Community Relations Office, MCU partnered with different organizations for the collaboration on community-related activities.
II. Health Outreach Programs
Over 109 registered participants, and 70 successful blood donors — 70 heroes in one day.
The award highlights MCU’s active participation and sustained support for initiatives that help ensure a stable blood supply for patients in need.
MCU was recognized by the Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC) during the 36th VMMC Operation Lifeline Awards and Recognition Ceremony, with the award Gawad Pagkilala Award in appreciation of the University’s valuable contribution to VMMC’s Operation Lifeline Blood Donation Program for the years 2024–2025.
In partnership with CAS–Psychology and SAS–Guidance and Counseling, CRO successfully held Usapang Kalusugang Pangkaisipan activity, promoting mental health and emotional well-being through engaging discussions and interactive sharing.
The 121st Community Outreach Program officially started with Phase 1, where we were able to provide ECG and X-ray services to 61 beneficiaries. This was made possible through the combined efforts of our team — RadTech volunteers handled the X-rays, and JCP focal persons conducted the ECGs.

The Community Relations Office celebrated Liver Cancer and Viral Hepatitis Awareness Day today in collaboration with the Caloocan City Health Department. This meaningful initiative aimed to raise awareness and encourage our community partners to prioritize their health through education, prevention, and early detection.
The KATUWANG Community Service initiative continues to be a flagship program of the college, conducted every third Saturday of the month. This program provides essential dental care and education to underserved communities, embodying the college's commitment to social responsibility and community engagement.
Through the CAS Kabahagi initiative, our dedicated faculty members and student volunteers conducted a vital Ocular Site Visit and Dengue Awareness mission in Barangay Maysilo, Malabon City. This anniversary was defined by identifying "danger zones" and breeding sites to help protect our community.
Our senior citizens at Brgy. Maysilo, Malabon gathered for GELLA: Gabay sa bawat Edad, Laban sa Labis na Alalahanin, a powerful event dedicated to conquering stress at every stage of life. In collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Malabon Highlands, we dived into practical tips and inspiring stories.

MCU conducts physical and dental examination for students annually. This is part of the university's health and wellness program to identify and address potential health issues early.
Through MCU Health Services Office, activities and services related to sexual and reproductive healthcare are also made available for the students. MCU Health Services Office is composed of a Physician, Dentist, and Nurses.
MCU Red Cross Youth Council is a recognized student organization that provides first-aid services upon request during events conducted inside and outside the campus.
Since its launch last October 10, the Alab Program has been our way of empowering students to become confident and capable community frontliners. During Phase 1, our student volunteers received hands-on training on basic emergency response skills and leadership, preparing them for their next role as trainers for our partner communities.
This program provides a space every friday where all employees can play their preferred sports. It aims to promote wellness, teamwork, and active lifestyle among employees.
The College of Physical Therapy offers a free physical therapy services for all teaching and non-teachinhg personnel of the university. This clinic offers physical therapy assessments and treatment services, designed to promote health awareness and provide easy access to rehabilitation care for everyone in our community.
This program is a wellness program designed to promote healthier lifestyles among employees through proper diet and exercise. It also aims to foster camaraderie, discipline, and a strong sense of accountability while encouraging a positive shift toward a better physical health.
Organized by the MCU College of Nursing - Nightingale Mission, the program focused on explaining what are HIV, STIs, and AIDS. MCU nursing students were enlightened how to properly and responsibly transfer knowledge to the community as an aspiring health allied practitioner.
V. Mental Health Services
The MCU Guidance and Counseling Center offers free mental support services for students.
MCU celebrates World Mental Health Month annually with series of events including Mental Health Seminars, contests, and other various activities. These activities were made for all students as well as all teaching and non-teaching staff of the university.
This is a program by the MCU Guidance and Counseling Center, composed of sessions togather students from different backgrounds gathered not just to sip tea, but to share pieces pf their stories. This provides social support within the MCU Community.
The program turned simple tea time into something a little deeper—where conversations brewed, perspectives steeped, and honesty was always on the menu.

Sta. Isabel, a Psychologist, Psychometrician, Professor, Mental Health Facilitator, and Certified People Skills Trainer.
