SDG 13: Climate Action

MCU promotes sustainability by reducing carbon emissions, implementing eco-friendly practices, and integrating green initiatives across its campus operations. The university encourages student organizations and employees to take part in tree-planting and tree-growing activities that strengthen environmental awareness.

Tree planting activities were participated in by 120 employees at one of the largest and nearest forest reserves in Metro Manila to help minimize climate change effects.

Kabahagi partnered with MCU BioSoc for a replanting and plant maintenance activity at the DENR NCR La Mesa Nursery Office in Quezon City. This collaborative effort helps create greener, more sustainable urban spaces while promoting responsible care for our environment and taking action to protect our climate.

MCU College of Arts and Sciences joined the AlterCOP30 Philippines Masterclass: Greenhouse Gas Accounting and How Stakeholders Can Better Align with Climate-Related Impacts for Action. This meaningful event gathered climate advocates, practitioners, and leaders committed to strengthening transparency and accelerating meaningful climate action.
