MCU on Life On Land
I. Supporting Land Ecosystems through Education
To raise awareness and participate in the NSTP tree planting program at La Mesa Watershed to help protect life on land and mitigate climate change.
II. Land Sensitive Waste Disposal
MCU maintains a clean and safe environment by strictly following government standards for wastewater discharge. Our wastewater effluent is tested every month, and all results are regularly submitted to the appropriate government agencies as part of our self-monitoring report. We also ensure that our sewage treatment plant and its filters are well-maintained.
The university minimizes plastic and disposable item use through the policy implemented for the concessionaires. This policy requires them to switch to eco-friendly packaging and reusable utensils.
MCU manages solid, liquid, and gaseous hazardous waste through having standard practice on waste segregation and disposal. In adherence to the government policies, there is an MCU personnel that regularly attend chemical handling and safety training programs conducted by the National Government. This is to uphold environmental and occupational safety standards.
