These nematodes are particularly ferious predators that utilize bacteria symbionts ('flesh eating bacteria') to kill their hosts. They enter the host and release this bacteria that will immediately kill host within 24 hours completely liquifying the inside of their host. Steinernema adamsi will go through many generations living inside this host before releasing into environment, feeding on its liquified insides for nutrients.
