Phonebirds

A phonebird (Corvus Disputatio), more commonly known as phonecrow/crowphone or just phone, is a species of bird that has been domesticated to use as magical devices. These birds can also be "customized" to have colorful patterns on them with animal-friendly paint or it can be embedded into their feathers at birth. They have a bald patch of skin on their stomach that is used as the phones 'screen'.

Phonebirds don't need to charge like real phones, however, they essentially need to charge by eating/drinking since if they won't the phone screen will not show up due to lack of energy. The bonus of this is that it doesn't take long at all for it to "charge." Phonebirds are very low maintenance, as they basically only live to be used as phones.

Phonebirds usually don't chirp or anything, instead they communicate through the phone, as a notification to check on or feed them, or have a whole profile on a messaging app.
