4 C. Turbinado sugar ("raw sugar")
3 C. spring water
1 oz. vodka (Chopin Polish vodka)
Combine sugar and water in a saucepan. Over medium-high heat, stir until sugar is dissolved and mixture loses cloudiness. Resulting syrup will be caramel colored and reminiscent of maple syrup. Let cool and add vodka. Store refrigerated in an impeccably clean bottle or jar.
Notes:
(1) I have played with different sugar:water ratios. Started with 1:1. This 4:3 ratio keeps longer and has an appealing viscosity.
