"Missing The Mark"
NOTE- I got a call from someone at the Baltimore Sun late one night- out of the blue- and he questioned me about a bus trip we had planned for the next day to take us to Valhalla, NY to protest the IDSA guidelines. We chatted for a few minutes and I sent him some information on things he had asked about. While we were away protesting, this editorial was published in the Sun.
The next morning it was reported the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) President and Paul Auwaerter from Johns Hopkins (Infectious Diseases Division) stormed into the Baltimore Sun office demanding equal time/coverage to refute this piece. It was reported there was a lot of "angry yelling and screaming" taking place.
Since then, the Baltimore Sun has failed hundreds of thousands of Lyme patients, their doctors and the public and have refused to publish information to support our educational efforts.
