Laundry Love

Project Description
I worked with Bill Salter to make a memorable event for the poor who could not afford their own load of laundry. I paid for their washing and drying loads, pizza, and beverages. I brought in the washer pods and dryer sheets to help the organization. My friend Jocelyn also brought in her band that she worked with and they played different songs.
Purpose
The purpose for this project is to help the poor or homeless community with their laundry. Laundry is a very big problem that most people cannot afford to pay for, so this organization helps and supports people that are in need of washed clothes. This project made an impact on many people that get overlooked. This impact made me choose to help with this. I love to help people in need and this felt like a problem that most people take for granted. Working on a specific problem that benefits many people is very rewarding and that is why I chose this project.
Reflection
Overall, I think that this project was a great success. My volunteers and I helped many people with their loads of laundry and helped to feed them. This gave them good, clean clothes that they can now do normal everyday things in. The people that we helped were very thankful and it was a rewarding experience.
