The Online Teacher Enhancement Program (OTEP) complements the project’s Microcredential initiative by serving as an accessible platform for teachers to engage with key concepts and practices in inclusive education. OTEP 2026 will feature a series of webinars drawn from the content of the newly developed microcredential courses, offering participants a broad overview of the specialized topics that can later be pursued in greater depth through the full microcredential modules.

Through OTEP, teachers are introduced to current trends, frameworks, and strategies in inclusion and special education in a flexible, interactive, and low-barrier format. This approach allows a wider audience to benefit from the project’s training resources while encouraging participants to continue their professional learning journey through the microcredential pathways.

Together, OTEP and the Microcredential program create a progressive professional development continuum—from awareness and foundational understanding gained through webinars, to competency-based mastery and certification through microcredential courses.
