"Good morning. I am ADEL VILLA from the Provincial Government of Cavite – Office of the Provincial Health Officer, serving as the Health and Wellness Program for Persons with Disability and Mental Health Program Coordinator.
Today, I chose to wear blue as a simple symbol of my support and solidarity with the Deaf community.
The webinar series has been a meaningful and eye-opening experience for me. While I learned a lot about disability inclusion, the lesson that truly stayed with me is the principle, “Nothing About Us, Without Us.” It reminded me that persons with disabilities should not only be beneficiaries of programs and services, but active partners in planning, decision-making, and building inclusive communities.
I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the Provincial Government of Cavite – Office of the Provincial Disability Affairs Officer, the City Government of Carmona – Persons with Disability Affairs Office, our webinar resource speakers, our Sign Language Mentors Mam Anna and Mam Ma. Cristina, and of course, the LINK Center for the Deaf, Inc. for this valuable learning opportunity. Thank you as well to my fellow participants and co-champions of disability inclusion for sharing this journey with me.
May we continue to be advocates of inclusion and accessibility in our respective communities as we move forward on the ROAD TO INCLUSIVE CAVITE.
Congratulations to all of us. Indeed, this is a beautiful day—not because our learning ends here, but because our journey toward a more inclusive Cavite is only beginning.
Thank you very much."

"I just want to share what I learned in the 5-day Basic Sign Language, it is not easy as a beginner and in my three years of serving people with disabilities, I immediately saw the needs of every person with disabilities and that's when I saw how important sign language is especially for deaf people.
At that time, I thought it was just a gesture because I had tried it when I was teaching children’s and I didn't know that it was sign language and because of this training, my knowledge increased and I can now share it with others.
Thank you to LINK for diligently teaching us and guiding us through the five-day activity. Thank you very much!"
