To aid in the capacity building of people who are deaf, LINK Center for the Deaf Inc. provided a series of Work Readiness Webinars to selected employed individuals and graduates who are deaf to further improve their capabilities and skills as they pursue their careers in the professional world.

In today’s fast-paced work culture, having the right skills isn’t enough; you also need the right attitude and ethics. That’s exactly what Deaf participants explored in our “21st Century Employer” event, held on October 6, 2024, with guest speaker Ms. Jing Cadiz.
Ms. Cadiz delivered a dynamic and Deaf-friendly session packed with real-world lessons and practical tips. She walked participants through the do’s and don’ts in the workplace, shared how to present oneself with confidence and professionalism, and emphasized the importance of respect, punctuality, accountability, and teamwork.
The session was visually rich, interactive, and empowering, featuring engaging slides, open sharing, and plenty of practical advice. More than 20 Deaf participants left the webinar with renewed confidence, a clearer sense of workplace expectations, and the motivation to embrace their professional journeys with pride.
This webinar reminded everyone that the Deaf community belongs at the table, and that professionalism has no sound, only action, integrity, and presence.
