Here are some more books and websites which we find very useful. We have chosen resources which should be easy to access. Check your local library for a copy of the books, if they don’t have them then you could ask them to order them for you.

Klingler, Thomas A. If I Could Turn My Tongue like That: The Creole Language of Pointe Coupee Parish, Louisiana. Baton Rouge: Louisiana State University Press, 2003.

Professor Thomas A. Klingler describes the variety of Creole spoken in Pointe Coupée in detail. This is a technical linguistic study.

Neumann, Ingrid. Le Créole de Breaux Bridge, Louisiane: Étude Morphosyntaxique, Textes, Vocabulaire. Hamburg: Helmut Buske Verlag, 1985.

This book was once out of print, but Professor Ingrid Neumann-Holzschuh re-released this book in 2018 by popular request! Professor Neumann-Holzschuh documented the Creole of Breaux Bridge, and wrote this detailed technical description in French.
