In this unit, you will learn to say 10 animal words and 1 phrase pattern as well as 1 sentence pattern to express how many animals you have. You will also learn to read some key Chinese characters to add to your existing bank of Chinese characters.
Learning intention
Learn to say 6 animal words in Chinese;
Learn to recognise and write the character “xiǎo小” in Chinese.
Success criteria
I can say the 6 animal words in English when I hear them in Chinese;
I can remember and say the 6 animal words in Chinese after some practise;
I can recognise and write the character “xiǎo小” with the guidance.
Go through PPT – Animals in Chinese Part I and follow the voice recording to practise the 5 hobbies in Chinese.
Follow the instruction on PPT-learn the character ‘xiao’, practice to read and write.
Play the game below by clicking the right character of ‘xiǎo 小small” on the character pages.
