Before we start to write the characters ‘分’ and ‘半’, we need to know some terms to describe the strokes of a Chinese character.
Please watch this video and have a basic understanding of the strokes.

Read the instructions on the first slide, then respond to statements on each slide with ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ in your mind or saying it out loud.

We would like to announce something exciting two weeks ahead of time so everyone can prepare the ingredients you need to try making some Chinese Cuisines at home (if you want to)! In week 11, to celebrate our learning, you can have a go at cooking some Chinese party food at home. There will be a savory and sweet option that you can sit down and enjoy with your family that evening. Below is a recommended shopping list you may find helpful. Please ask someone at home to get the ingredients for you if they can (there is no pressure). The recipes will feed a family of four, you can adjust it if you need to!
*Note: If you, or any of your family members have dietary requirements, please substitute ingredients. The noodle dish in particular is very versatile.
