Headline: This spreadsheet is the signup sheet for SY 2024-2025 Assessment Team Master Classes. CTCs should select the Master Class topic tab below and sign up for a time slot. Sign up is first come first reserved.

Audience: ALL State Aligned CTCs

Details: 

1. KTX Assessment Master Classes are REQUIRED for all applicable CTCs. 

   1. These classes are smaller virtual gatherings in which we do guided interactive training. 

   2. These Master Classes are based on certain skills or platforms that need to be mastered in order to effectively administer our assessments. 

   3. Attendance at Mastery Classes is mandatory for the entire time slot you sign up for and mandatory for all applicable CTCs. 

      1. Mastery classes are different from Office Hours where you can drop in at any time during the time block. 

   4. Master classes require active participation (it is we do, you do and you have tasks that must be completed by the end of the session); therefore, CTCs must make arrangements to cover any other obligations, duties, etc. during their assigned training time or they will be asked to attend an additional training. 

2. For certain Master Classes, CTCs who have previously administered the Assessment and have previously completed the skill/platform specific training may be allowed to check in with RACs during their assigned slot and leave early. This will be on a case by case basis.

The Texas Education Agency requires test security training for all staff who will actively involved and/or physically present on a KIPP Texas Campus during STAAR, STAAR ALT2, TELPAS, TELPAS ALT, and official Cambium IAs regardless of whether or not the employee directly interacts with testing. In addition, any KIPP Texas Public Schools employee who needs to access secure test data and student results must also be trained in test security measures. Test administrator training on test security procedures is required for all employees at least once a year. At KIPP Texas we highlight and remind staff about test security at every training. 

For the 2024-2025 school year, the process for completing test security training, oaths of test security, and signing up for a Cambium account (access to the centralized reporting system CRS, TFAR, DEI, TIDE, etc.) will be similar to last year. 

This training will consist of two required parts and one optional part. 

• Cornerstone (Required) - All staff will be required to complete the 2024-2025 KTX Test Security Training Module via cornerstone, prior to testing. This will be available September 2024

• Oath (Required) -  All staff will be required to complete the 2024-2025 Test Security Oath via cornerstone (link at end of training), prior to testing. This will be available September 2024

• Cambium Account Sign Up (Optional) - There will be a link at the end of the Cornerstone training for staff members who wish to sign up for a Cambium Account. For more information about access levels please click here. 

  • Accounts will only be created once you have completed the test security training, oath and sign up sheet. 

  • There are no carry over accounts. All KTX personnel who wish to have a Cambium account must reapply each year. 

  • If you don’t complete the sign up, you will not receive an account. 

• For the 2024-2025 SY all Teachers of Record will automatically be given a Learning Management System (LMS) account on 8/26/2024. 

  • This will allow teachers access to Cambium training modules required for EB/TELPAS participation. 

  • These accounts do not allow access to secure test data or student results. 

  • Teachers who wish to have access to other parts of Cambium, will need to complete the three steps above to upgrade their account. 

As a reminder, systems for the Texas Assessment Program including the Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE), the Centralized Reporting System (CRS), and the Test Delivery System (TDS) will be offline from 7:00 p.m. (CT) August 16 through 1:00 a.m. (CT) August 26, 2024, to complete a system rollover.

• During this time all existing accounts for KIPP Texas will be deleted from the system.

• All users with an existing account will need to reapply for the new school year following the steps listed above. 

  • Once a new account is created returning users must create a new password when logging in to TIDE for the first time each school year. Users with a new role must have their role updated to ensure that they have appropriate access to the system functionality needed for their assigned role.

• Students must be added to TIDE for the 2024–2025 school year, as all student data, including rosters, will be cleared from TIDE.

• Any Texas Formative Assessment Resource (TFAR) tests administered in 2023–2024 that require scoring by hand must be submitted prior to August 16 for scores to be reflected in CRS.
