Education side: Kimikazu Sugimori is a professor and the Founding Director of Center for the Advancement of Higher Education, Hokuriku University. He specializes in Computational Quantum Chemistry, Science Education, and Higher Educational Development. Throughout his careers, he's been promoting Active Learning in his classes and Flipped Learning (FL) has been part of it.
Chemistry side : Kimikazu Sugimori has interests in the area of theoretical and computational quantum chemistry. Main research is application for NMR prediction of isotopomer in biomolecules, lipid molecules in human lens cataract. Another collaborative researches are relation to theoretical investigations of electron spin resonance g-value, laser-induced transition in vibrational and electronic levels, and one-electron redox potential of blue copper proteins. KS earned a M.Ed, from Master course of Education at University of Tsukuba and a Ph.D in Science at Kanazawa University.
