TERMS OF SERVICE AND USER AGREEMENT
Last Updated: August 22, 2026
Section 1: ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By downloading, installing, or using StealthGuard (the App), you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Section 2: LICENSE
StealthGuard is licensed, not sold.
You receive a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable license to use the App for lawful device-protection use on devices you own or are authorized to control.
Section 3: LAWFUL USE AND SAFETY DISCLAIMER
StealthGuard is a safety-assistance tool. It does not guarantee theft prevention, intruder identification, or recovery outcomes, and it does not replace emergency services or law enforcement.
You must not use the App for harassment, stalking, illegal surveillance, or any unlawful purpose.
Automatic Screen Locking: The App uses Android Device Administrator rights to automatically lock your device screen upon detecting potential theft or an alarm trigger.
Auto-Disarm Behavior: To prevent battery exhaustion, an unhandled theft alarm automatically disarms Protection after 5 minutes. You will receive a system notification when this happens, and can re-arm Protection from it at any time.
Photo Capture and False Positives: The App may automatically take photos using the front and rear cameras when an alarm triggers, silently and without a live preview. You acknowledge that false positives may occur and that photos of anyone holding the device - including family members or friends - may be stored locally or uploaded to your linked Google Drive account if you have enabled that optional feature.
Section 4: DATA, PERMISSIONS, AND TRANSPARENCY
Permissions are used only for declared app features (for example camera, location, and notifications/alarms).
Data processed locally by default: captured evidence files; alarm and diagnostic logs; and detection and feature settings.
Location is used in two ways, both optional Premium features you must turn on: (a) a single location snapshot is included in a backup report when you generate one, and (b) background location powers Auto-activate outdoors and Auto-deactivate on return home, which use your location even when the app is closed or not in use to arm and disarm protection automatically based on up to two saved locations – Home and/or Work – you set. Neither is active unless you enable the relevant feature.
If you turn on the optional Premium Google Drive Backup feature, captured evidence, a location snapshot, and your Google account email are uploaded to your own Google Drive account, in a folder StealthGuard creates there. This only happens if you sign in and enable that feature; it is off by default.
The App also uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash logs and device diagnostics automatically (not tied to any optional feature), Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous app-interaction and feature-usage events (e.g. which features are used, not their content) to understand how the app is used and improve it, and Google AdMob to serve ads on the free tier, which may access an advertising identifier. No personal data is included in Firebase Analytics events. On a Premium purchase, order/purchase metadata is separately sent to our activation server to verify your entitlement; this does not include photos, location, or personal identifiers.
StealthGuard does not sell personal and sensitive user data. You can delete locally stored evidence and diagnostic logs at any time from Settings. This does not delete existing Google Drive backup copies, which you manage directly in your own Google Drive.
Full privacy details are provided in the app Privacy Policy, available in-app and at the URL shown in Settings. If there is any conflict, the stricter privacy disclosure applies.
Section 5: PREMIUM AND BILLING
This release offers an in-app Premium subscription through Google Play Billing, with monthly, quarterly, and yearly plans, and a free trial. Purchases are processed and billed by Google Play under its billing terms and applicable regional law.
Section 6: ADS
The free tier displays ads through Google AdMob when arming or disarming protection. Premium removes ads. Ads are never shown during an active alarm or on the alarm lock screen.
Section 7: EVIDENCE AND LEGAL PROCESS NOTICE
Any captures or logs may help incident reporting, but admissibility and legal effect depend on jurisdiction, chain of custody, and authority decisions. You are responsible for lawful handling and sharing of evidence.
Section 8: NO WARRANTY
THE APP IS PROVIDED AS IS AND AS AVAILABLE, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
Section 9: LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID FOR PREMIUM (IF ANY).
Section 10: GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION
StealthGuard is developed and operated by an individual developer trading as Krish Innovation Labs (a sole proprietorship, not a separate registered company).
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights you have under the law of your own place of residence that cannot be waived by contract.
If a dispute arises, you agree to first contact us at krishinnovationlabs@gmail.com and engage in good-faith resolution for 30 days. Any dispute not resolved within that period shall be subject to arbitration seated in Pune, Maharashtra, India, or the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pune, Maharashtra, India.
Section 11: CHANGES AND TERMINATION
We may update these Terms to reflect legal, policy, or product changes. Continued use after updates means acceptance. We may suspend or terminate access for policy or legal violations.
