Application purpose:

BestFrame AI is an Android photo-management and storage-cleanup application that finds camera bursts and near-duplicate shots in your photo library and helps you keep only the best one from each group.

Core capabilities:

• Scan your photo library and automatically group camera bursts and near-duplicate shots.

• Use on-device machine learning to score each photo for sharpness, exposure, and face quality, and pick the best shot in each group.

• Let you review, compare, and override every pick before anything is cleaned up.

• Move only the shots you confirm to Android's own system Trash, where they remain recoverable.

On-device processing:

• All scanning, grouping, scoring, and best-shot selection run entirely on your device using on-device machine learning (Google ML Kit).

• BestFrame AI has no backend server. Your photos and their contents are never uploaded to Krish Innovation Labs.

• No account, sign-up, or login is required for any core feature.

Google Sign-In and requested data (optional Cloud Backup only):

• Requested data: Google Photos Library upload-only scope.

• Purpose: uploading the best photo from a cleaned-up group to your own Google Photos library, only if you enable Cloud Backup.

• Cloud Backup is an optional Premium/Pro feature, off by default, and is not required for any core feature.

Data protection commitments:

• Google user data is used only to deliver the optional Cloud Backup feature you explicitly enable.

• Google user data is not sold.

• Google user data is not shared with advertisers or unrelated third parties.

Operational Disclosures & App Mechanics:

• Safe cleanup, never a permanent delete: BestFrame AI uses Android's built-in system Trash (MediaStore.createTrashRequest) — the same mechanism your device's own gallery app uses. Trashed photos remain recoverable through your device's Trash for the period your device provides.

• Nothing is removed without confirmation: every group is presented for your review, and cleanup happens only after you confirm it.

• Photo access: the app requests read access to your photo library (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / READ_MEDIA_VISUAL_USER_SELECTED, or READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE on older Android versions) solely to scan, group, and score your photos on-device.

• Optional Premium features: Cloud Backup to your own Google Photos account, faster background processing, longer retention windows, automatic cleanup, and bulk one-tap declutter. Cloud Backup remains completely off by default until you enable it.

• Advertising: the free tier displays ads through Google AdMob, which may use your device's Advertising ID.
