✎ᝰ Design Basics
» Every Kodai geno will come with the following labels to be your guide to creating a full Kodai using official import lines:
» Species
» Coat
» Basecolor
» Markings

» Once you acquire a geno, you will then be able to use the following guides to create and submit your Kodai for approvals. Each trait has its own guide with ranges, color sliders, and special effects/rules. Pay attention and take care to follow the set rules, or you may be sent to corrections!

Special Bases
Bases that have to meet special circumstances to be used!
This base coat only appears when an Aqua and Emerald are bred together (No other bases involved). There is a 25% chance that a Teal color modifier appears!
Markings
Every Kodai will have markings that are expressible via the geno's phenotype. Each have their own rules and interactions with one another. Click on a marking below to learn more about it!
Marking Color Rules
Marking colors will be taken from the base coat swatches above, and can be lighter or darker, depending on the markings.
Depending on the base rarity, will depend on the marking color allowed.
Marking colors can be taken from the same rarity and below.
For example, Aqua can use colors from Emerald, Aqua, Sepia/Rose/Blossom, Fawn/Golden/Violet & Canary.
Fawn can use colors from Fawn, Sepia and Canary.
Rose Sepia can use colors from all common swatches, as well as Blossom Sepia, and Golden/Violet Fawn.
Black and White can be used freely.
Horns
Currently there are two common horn types in Kodai, Kirin and Hornless. More will be added over time!
If your geno has Hornless, you can just hide the Kirin Horn layers!
Mutations
Appearing seemingly both randomly and genetically, mutations are seen when a genetic anomaly occurs in a Welp in-utero. The result of such anomalies vary in appearance and effect.
When two related Kodai breed, any live offspring will potentially experience mutations unique to an inbred lineage.
Final Touches
These are some final effects that can be used on all imports, like colored lines and halos!
