nTb/TbTb | Uncommon
Otherwise found on cats, Tabby is a swirly and uneven marking that resembles the felines.
Tabby must have either a hard or soft edge!
Tabby must be darker than the base!
Tabby Guide
Tabby can be uneven and unsymmetrical, whilst featuring swirls, hooks and 'triangles'.
Small sections can also be cut away to add to the uneven feel.
Tabby cannot be lighter than the base, or have small spots surrounding it (Unless the Spots gene is present).
Tabby also cannot make circles such as the above, or 'targets'.
Tabby can also be nuanced! This is when the marking is slightly erased to show the color that's beneath. It should be subtle, and should not change how the marking appears, or make it look like another marking entirely!
When using a nuance, you should still be able to see the marking edges, like the above example. If too much is erased, your design may be sent back to corrections!
Nuance does not allow for the marking to completely fade away, or have the markings edge only just visible. Nuance should be subtle!
