Ward R. Anderson winters in Key West, lives in Annapolis, and travels with his wife along the East Coast on their boat, Skylark. He has a B.A. in History from Bucknell University, and is a past Director of The Maryland Federation of Art.

After nine years as a Navy Attack pilot flying from the USS Ranger, he flew for Piedmont Airlines and USAirways.

In 2018 he joined KWWG and found the guidance from peers helpful in the development of his novel, Escape From Ukraine, published in 2020.
